Youth of Grace Events

Vacation Bible School

Instead of a weeklong Vacation Bible School, we are planning a one day event, on Friday, July 31st from 10 am to 1pm with lunch included. We are hoping to gather up the younger members of our church for a time filled with God’s word, crafts, games, lunch, and playtime on the playground. All are welcome, and we are hoping to invite the kids from the neighborhood to join us as well. Please speak with Emily Smith, Emma Sage, or Lisa Sage if you would like to help or participate and please share the invitation below with family friends and neighbors. 

Beach Day!
Come join us for a Beach Day this Friday, July 24th at 1:00-4:00pm. We will have chips, drinks, and snacks. Bring your swimsuit, a towel, boards, volleyballs, plenty of sunscreen, etc. We will be at the San Buenaventura State Beach (901 San Pedro St, Ventura, CA 93001) Park in the first parking area (Lot A) or drop off at the beach end of San Pedro St. It costs $10 to park. We will be set up on the shore hopefully not far from the beach restrooms. 

Movie night

Come join us for Movie Night with popcorn, sodas, candy and snacks. Feel free to invite a friend and bring a cozy blanket or pillow. When? 6:30 – 10:00 pm on Friday, August 28th

NYG 2028 

Please remember that the next National Youth Gathering is just 2 summers away, and we are hoping to send about 5 youth and 1 adult with Trinity Simi Valley Church to San Antonio. Please consider starting now to put in an extra offering each month earmarked “NYG.” I am guessing that we will need to raise approximately $8,000 between now and 2028 to help support our youth attending. 

Events and activities with also be on calendar. 

Sunday School news

Both classes are currently watching the What’s in the Bible Series for the next couple of months during the summer. The younger students will be doing various games and crafts while the older students will be creating animated stop motion video shorts of various Bible stories. Thank you also to Emma Sage and Alyssa Polestra for teaching the Sunday School classes while Roger and I were out of town in June.
