LWML- Lutheran Women's Missionary League

LWML is focused on affirming each women's relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support local and global missions. As Lutheran women in mission, we strive to support our church and community. Each of us has faced challenges and circumstances greater than our own strength, but in Christ, we already more than conquerors through Him who loved us. We can confidently live each day, trusting in Christ. All ladies of Grace are already members so please join us in our work on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 1:00-3:00pm in RM15.

The League Pledge:

In fervent gratitude for the Savior's dying love and His blood-bought gift of redemption we dedicate ourselves to Him with all that we are and have; and in obedience to His call for workers in the harvest fields, we pledge Him our willing service wherever and whenever He has need of

us. We consecrate to our Savior our hands to work for Him, our feet to go on His errands, our voice to sing His praises, our lips to proclaim His redeeming love, our silver and our gold to extend His Kingdom, our will to do His will, and every power of our life to the great task of bringing he lost and the erring into eternal fellowship with Him. Amen.

How we support our community

Our organization helps through encouraging women to follow Gods mission in supporting their church congregation, local communities and even global organizations. The Quilt & Kit Ministry: Our longest running program, Lutheran World Relief distributed its first quilts in 1945 to families in war-torn Europe following the Second World War. Within a decade, the ministry was reaching around the globe to villages far removed from the world’s attention. Today, an average of 300,000 quilts are lovingly given worldwide each year. LWR Mission Quilts are highly regarded throughout the world because of their quality and consistency. Careful adherence to our quilt-making guidelines ensures that every quilt is useful and consistent. We also assemble food boxes for shut-ins, lend educational videos and prayer services. Locally we are currently aiding the Rescue Mission (Oxnard), Veterans of the Cross, Turning Point, Family to Family, and Tender Life Maternity Home.
